I am attracted to things, people and places that are both beautiful and unusual.
Kate Bush is my favorite artist and Mad Ninjaz is my favorite SL sim.
'Showdown' was partly filmed at Mad Ninjaz.
These snapshots do not do justice to Mad Ninjaz and so I encourage you to go visit!

Pixie Rain: straddling Art and Porn in Second Life. Some of the machinima and blog-posts on this site are adult in nature and contain scenes that some people may find disturbing. If you feel this might be you, please exit now. Other elements are warm and cuddly and have a "feel good" factor. Click the "Film Link" tab below for all my films listed chronologically.

'Showdown' and 'The Kiss' - Background
Showdown was created based on this college assignment :
Assignment 3rd term Year 1 (optional):
Consider the following passage and in a digital medium of your choice demonstrate what it means to you:
"In order to transform a work into a cult (or art house) film one must be able to break, dislocate and unhinge it so that one can remember only parts of it, irrespective of their original relationship with the whole. [Such a film] survives only as a disconnected series of images, of peaks, of visual icebergs. It should display not one central idea but many. It should not reveal a coherent philosophy of composition. It must live on, and because of, its glorious ricketiness."
- Umberto Eco in 'Faith in Fakes: Travels in HyperReality'
Tommorrow I release 'The Kiss'. The original screen play was proposed to me by Jinx Jiersen, winner of Best Male in the 2010 THE SEXIEST competition. I don't usually take on ideas proposed by others simply because I have enough ideas of my own. But I like Jinx as a person and thought it would be fun doing a film together. It was.
Tommorrow we will see the result of our collaboration.
In the meantime, here is a pic of him:

Showdown
I heard the song 'Showdown' by Electric Light Orchestra on YouTube in September or October 2010 and knew immediately I wanted to do something with it.
In my mind's eye, I saw a black-haired beautiful lady in one of the lead roles. The lady originally scheduled to take the role mysteriously dropped off my SL Friends List around December time.
Paddledog Oh is a regular at Old Lar's House, and a beautiful and interesting avatar so I asked her. Paddle was originally a little skeptical but watched some of my films. Far from convincing her that this was a good thing to do, it made her even more wary. Apparently 'Blockbuster' and 'PsychoKiller' were not to Paddle's liking at all.
After some discussion and schedule re-arranging we started filming mid-January 2011 and released on 12 March.
